Additional off-campus locations include the 75-acre Bartlett Crowe field station for environmental sciences study in Glade Spring and the Equestrian Center in Bristol.

A seasoned higher education leader, healthcare educator and senior vice president of Emory & Henry, Dr. Louise Fincher, has been named interim president of the institution following the announcement last week that current President John W. Wells will be stepping down from his position at the end of July and will transition to become the inaugural Chancellor of Emory & Henry University.

John W. Wells announced today he will step down at the end of July as the 22nd president of Emory & Henry University after five years of leadership, during which he achieved record enrollment and fundraising milestones that resulted in the construction of new campus housing, creation of the School of Business and the development of a multi-million-dollar sports complex to enhance the economic health of Southwest Virginia.

376 Students Recognized for Spring 2024 Dean’s List

Congratulations to the students who were recognized for their academic achievement in the spring 2024 Dean’s List. For inclusion on the Dean’s List, the student must be enrolled full-time and receive at least a 3.6 GPA for the semester.
