MCOM video students

The media and communication program has a broad-based core that prepares students for a wide range of careers. Then, in consultation with an advisor, the student chooses electives, internships, a minor or double major, and other hands-on experiences to build a speciality area. Areas of concentration often include sports communication, marketing, public relations, journalism, videography, graphic design, and media studies.

    MCOM 390 Persuasive Communication (3)
    MCOM 451 Media Law and Ethics (3)
    MCOM 470 Internship or MCOM 480 Senior Project (3-6)

  • Minor in Media and Communication

    A student may minor in Media and Communication by completing 101, 202, 210, 390, 451, and one additional three-credit course.

  • Minor in Visual Communications

    A student may minor in visual communications by completing 101, 210, 204, 390, 404 or 410, and 451.
