Emory & Henry Breaks Ground on new MultiSport Complex for the Region Thanks to Generous Lead Gift of $4 Million from Food City
Hundreds of Emory & Henry College students and thousands of middle and high school students will soon be playing sports including lacrosse, track and field and soccer at the new MultiSport Complex at exit 26 just off the I-81 Emory & Henry Education Corridor. Emory & Henry spans facilities from Marion to Bristol in Virginia serving more than 1,400 students. It is estimated that the new complex will be ready for use by fall 2024.

Hundreds of students at Emory & Henry College have a new Student Success Center to call home that was dedicated Friday, September 16, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony with members of the Powell family, President John W. Wells and former President Charlie Sydnor presiding. With the Powell family’s generous and continued gifts, a new center was constructed in Wiley Hall, where a former auditorium was housed.
