Degrees & Requirements

Follow these instructions to add or edit degree listings and requirements:

1. On the LiveWhale dashboard go to Profiles > Degrees & Requirements.
2. If you would like to add a new degree, click the blue “Add a new profile” button.
3. Add the name of the degree to the title input field and add the requirements (classes required for the major) in the description text box. Click the “Save” button when finished.
4. To edit a degree profile, click on the name of the degree. In the dashboard, you may sort the degrees by adding or removing the “balloons” on the right.

On academic department web pages, the degrees will be listed within a widget. You click on the name of the degree to expand the degree requirements. An example can be found on the Biology department website.

If you do not see the Degrees & Requirements accordion dropdown on your department web page, you can add the widget by following the steps below:

1. Click on the “Edit Page” button on the top of your web browser and click inside a content area. (See Editing Pages for details.)
2. In the editing toolbar, click on the insert dropdown and select widget.
3. Search for “Degrees & Requirements.” When “Profile: Degrees & Requirements” displays, click on it and then click the “Insert this widget” button.
4. A placeholder block for the widget should be in the content area. Save the page and the Degrees & Requirements dropdown should be on the page.
