Emory & Henry Honors Scholarship: $23,000

A typical Honors Program Scholar receives the $23,000 merit scholarship each year that they remain in the program (this should appear on your Financial Aid form as the “Founders Scholarship”). Several students will be offered an additional, annual scholarship of $500, based on the results of their Scholarship Day interviews. In order to become part of the Honors Program Scholarship, applicants must apply by no later than March 10, 2022. Interviews will start on a rolling basis in early February, for those who come to campus to visit or who schedule a zoom interview. Honors Scholarship Day (March 26, 2022) will provide those accepted to the program to a chance to visit, and a last opportunity for everyone else to interview.

Emory & Henry Honors Enhancement: $500

Half of each class will receive an additional $500 annual award because of their exceptional merit, totaling $2,000 by graduation.

Personal Academic Stipend $2,000

Additionally, Scholars are also guaranteed to receive at least $2,000 from our Personal Academic Stipend Fund to spend on academic resources.  In just the last few years, the Personal Academic Stipend fund has paid for plane tickets to four continents (and Iceland), laptop computers, genetic agents for a biology honors thesis, intensive summer study of Arabic, a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) course in the Amazon, and towards student abroad semesters for dozens of students.

Thesis Awards

Seniors who are writing an Honors Thesis in conjunction with their departments are eligible to merit awards to support them during their final spring semester.
