Current Students
Meet some of our current Honors Scholars and learn more about them!
-
Jackson Arnold
For Jackson, the Emory & Henry Honors Program is a place to gather inspiration from in-depth conversations with peers who share similar goals and interests. To First Year Honors Scholars, Jackson advises to not be taken by stress; college is a place to experiment and try new things, and if you don’t like something don’t be afraid to express it.
-
Neil Fredericksen
For Neil, the Emory & Henry Honors Program is a great way to further one’s education and career goals, as well as meet and bond with others who share a similar interest in advancing their knowledge. To First Year Honors Scholars, Neil advises to use the first year to get accustomed to campus life instead of stressing about Honors requirements.
-
Liz Heflin
For Liz, the Honors Program is a place that played key roles in her time on campus and helped push her academically. To First Year Honors Scholars, Liz advises that the key to your first year is pushing yourself and stepping out of your comfort zone.
-
Sierra Smith
For Sierra, the Honors Program is a place to push others to the best of their abilities. To First Year Honors Scholars, Sierra advises to not be afraid to pursue different avenues and ask for help when needed.
-
Zeke Workman
I am very interested in the judicial system and I believe that I can be an asset to the legal community by practicing law and advocating justice for all. After graduation, I plan on attending law school to obtain my J.D to practice criminal and injury law. On campus, I am involved with SGA, Housing Residence & Life, and the Cailopeans’ Literary Society. I am also a member of the Men’s soccer and tennis team here on campus.
-
Jaynae Wright
I’m a Libra. Although I place no stock in astrology, my sign describes me rather well. My core passion is grappling with the challenges and hypocrisies of justice. I triple major and participate in SGA and Debate Society (among other wonderful activities) because I want to be prepared to be a Renaissance woman in the two career paths I’m planning to enter: Community Development through Chamber of Commerce directing or a judge for family court.
