Steps to Becoming an SLP

  1. Complete a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field  (Communication Sciences, Education, Psychology, Linguistics, Speech & Audiology, etc)
  2. Attend a CAA-accredited graduate program
  3. Pass the Praxis 2 Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
  4. Complete a post-graduate clinical fellowship for state licensure

 


Admissions Test

  • Admissions Tests vary by program.
  • GRE is the most common admission test for SLP graduate programs.
