Emory & Henry Teams with Mars Hill on Articulation Agreement for Health Sciences

Emory & Henry College and Mars Hill University administrators have signed an articulation agreement to create an academic pathway for select Mars Hill students majoring in Allied Health Science, Biomedical Sciences, and Psychology to pursue admission into an Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences graduate program in addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, or physical therapy.

“We are so pleased to formalize this strategic partnership with Mars Hill University. This collaborative agreement enables us to build on the strengths of our two institutions for the benefit of our students and academic programs,” said Dr. Lou Fincher, Senior VP and Dean for the School of Health Sciences in Marion, Virginia.

The two schools will work collaboratively to provide an educational pathway for qualified Mars Hill undergraduate students majoring in allied health sciences, biomedical sciences, or psychology to pursue admission into an Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences graduate program in addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, or physical therapy.

“Together, we are committed to our rural communities to enhance the healthcare opportunities for education, training, clinical practice, and the enhancement of the delivery of healthcare to our regions. There is more and more demand to fill positions and we know our graduates are well prepared to serve and lead,” said Michael Puglisi, Executive Vice President and Provost at Emory & Henry.
