Emory & Henry proudly appointed Frederick George ’11 ’13, as dean of students.

With nine years in higher education administration, George now coordinates student activities and programs, fostering an inclusive campus atmosphere. His oversight spans campus recreation, student activities and more. A graduate and former football player at Emory & Henry, George aims to enhance the student experience, prioritizing a student-centric approach in his alma mater.

    Record-Breaking Class & Inaugural Cohorts

    At the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, Virginia, Emory & Henry College’s School of Health Sciences saw its largest graduating class in August with 103 students. Among them were the first cohorts of the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs, alongside others from Physician Assistant Studies and Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs. President John W. Wells praised the graduates for their resilience and dedication to earning their degrees.
