E&H Ribbon Cutting Opens New University Apartments

Posted December 15, 2023

Emory & Henry welcomed 1,105 students and unveiled University Apartments, adding 96 beds in fall 2023. President John W. Wells highlighted the need for innovative housing solutions due to record-breaking on-campus residency. The modern apartments, situated along Hillman Highway on a 10-acre property, offer a more independent lifestyle, boasting functional spaces like two-bed, two-bath units with open kitchens, walk-in closets, and private balconies. Dean of Students Fred George emphasized the inviting outdoor spaces, while future plans envision additional units and amenities such as a clubhouse and pool, aligning with contemporary preferences. The three-story complex, constructed by BurWil Construction, complements the existing campus residences and marks a step toward meeting evolving housing demands.
