Emory & Henry Partners with Meade Tractor Thanks to Generous Gift

Meade Tractor Named Official Turf Equipment Supplier at Emory & Henry University

There’s a lot of green driving around Emory & University this fall thanks to an in-kind donation of equipment from Meade Tractor, the new Official Turf Equipment Supplier to the University.

Meade Tractor has partnered with Emory & Henry to provide equipment to maintain the more than 300 plus acres of campus including its athletic fields and a free nine-hole golf course that is open to the public. In addition, D2 South Atlantic Conference competition will get underway soon with its full schedule available at gowasps.com.

“We are ecstatic to have this partnership on campus to keep our lawns and fields looking amazing,” said Ryan Bowyer, Senior Vice President for Student Experience and Strategy. “The hard work of lawn crews is extremely important when it comes to campus beauty and safety as well as attraction and retention of our students. We get comments about the beauty of our campus from our visitors, families and alumni quite often and we’re pleased to put the equipment to good use.”

With this donation Meade will become an athletics sponsor for the 24-25 season including the title sponsorship of the Wasps homecoming football game versus Lenoir-Ryne on October 5. They will also become a 24-25 season sponsor of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts including the first fall theatre production of “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” showing September 27 - October 6.
