Brent Treash’s Pro Tips on Making the Most of Bristol Rhythm & Roots

It’s a safe bet that when Brent Treash first got involved with Bristol Rhythm & Roots, he didn’t imagine he’d still be a number one volunteer 17 years later. But here he is!

Over the course of his relationship with the festival, he has served as a music committee member, chair of the music committee, chair of the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion festival, and now chair of the Board of Directors of the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. And through it all, he remains the number one champion and cheerleader for the beloved music festival that brings thousands of people to downtown Bristol annually.

The giant music festival installs stages up and down Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia’s famous State Street and music fans can hear up-and-coming acts, local talent, and big time performers for an entire weekend.

After all these years, Brent is still enthusiastic about Rhythm & Roots, saying that every year he looks forward to seeing old friends back for the event – some of whom are musicians he has gotten to know across the years.

Some of those friends are fellow E&H alums who flock to the event annually, making State Street feel like a mini-E&H reunion. Alums and friends even gather for a chance to see other at a social event at the festival Friday night annually.
