Emily Jane Bodfish

Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Physician Assistant Studies

Professor Emily Bodfish, MPAS, PA-C, currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences Department of Physician Assistant Studies.

She serves as the Course Director for Clinical Skills I course and will assist in lectures in the Clinical Medicine courses. Professor Bodfish also volunteers as a physician assistant with the Mel Leaman Free Clinic.

She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Emory & Henry College in 2019 and was inducted in the Pi Alpha National Honor Society at that time. She received her BS in Biology from Emory & Henry College in 2016.

Professor Bodfish is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates, the Physician Assistant Education Association, and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.

Professor Bodfish was a full-time clinician and has worked in the specialties of otolaryngology and pediatrics in Southwest Virginia prior to transitioning to a full-time educator at Emory & Henry.

She currently resides in Abingdon with her husband and silver Labrador Retriever, Luna. She enjoys trying new restaurants, hiking, swimming, and snowboarding.
