Kain Tignor

Director of Student Athlete Success Office of Student Success and Athletics

Kain is entering his first year as Director of Student Athlete Success & Assistant Athletic Director at Emory & Henry University. Kain’s responsibilities include working with student-athletes to monitor/support academic & personal success, programming, conflict resolution, team budgeting, & supporting coaches. 

 

Prior to his time at Emory & Henry, Kain worked as a federal GS-12 Equal Employment Opportunity & Disability Program Manager for the Army Corps of Engineers in Philadelphia for several years, managing Title VII discrimination cases, providing reasonable accommodations, & advocating for equal rights amongst the Philadelphia federal population. Kain is also a certified mediatior.

 

Additionally, Kain was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving for 12 years under various roles ranging from a Fighter Jet Avionics Technician, Classified Courier, Force Protection, to Equal Opportunity Specialist. During his service, Kain deployed 3 times to the Middle-East, & lived in multiple different countries, such as Japan and South Korea.

 

Kain currently lives with his wife Sasha, 3 year old son Kai, & 16 year old daughter Ava. Some of Kain’s interests include bodybuilding, powerlifting, reading books (primarily fantasy, thriller, and sci-fi), biking, horror movies, video games, or anything outdoors.
